Holton Film Plastering was established in 2014. We are plasterers and carpenters that have accumulated extensive experience of working in the building trade and film industry. The popularity of plaster within the film and television industry can be attributed to its ease of use and cost effectiveness. The plaster element is a crucial part of film set construction. Once the riggers and the carpenters have built and shaped the basic structures, the ornamental plasterer finishes the surfaces with traditional plastering to create a wide range of key structures and props. From period backdrops to alien landscapes.

If your brief requires you to recreate the appearance of a historic feature, then we are the team for the job. Our fibrous plastering work includes the creation of: covings, skin brick sheets, skin castle stone, sheets, cornices, skin stone casting (silicone moulds and g.r.p) and ceiling roses.
Plastering
special finishes that fully replicate your vision
Our quality plasterers are able to offer a wide variety of plastering scenic finishes and special treatments. Whether your project is for film, TV, theatre, we always work hard to turn designs into reality. We also offer traditional plastering services including lath and plaster for ceilings and walls and external lime plastering/render.
workspace
We have our own large workshop, based in Abridge, which means that we are able to offer a flexible service to meet the budget and deadline of each project. We can produce small and large scale pieces in our workshop as well as working in-situ.
